Adherence

Question: For what project can I create a checklist to help ensure success and reduce stress?

My Story:

Structure isn’t just a preference for Amanda; it’s a strength that gives her and others the confidence to move forward. When her team first reviewed their Strengths Profiles together, it was unanimous: Adherence fit her perfectly. “This is so you,” a colleague said, and Amanda felt instantly seen for the value she knew she could offer.

After four years of volunteering with WE CAN, Amanda joined the staff, taking on her most ambitious project yet: redesigning the organization’s entire hiring process. It’s a year-long initiative that affects every person who walks through the door, and Amanda couldn’t be more energized. For her, there’s real satisfaction in knowing that clear, consistent systems can reduce stress, support staff, and create a welcoming experience for every potential employee.

Her love of order isn’t about control, but rather it’s about clarity. She thrives on anticipating needs, reducing confusion, and bringing calm through thoughtful structure. “If someone walks in tomorrow, I want them to know exactly what to do if someone from leadership is not available,” she often says. That’s the essence of Adherence: creating systems that bring ease and confidence to others.

But Amanda’s contributions go beyond organization. With her strategic mindset, she consistently thinks several steps ahead, considering not only what needs to be done but also how best to implement change without disrupting the team culture. At WE CAN, a close-knit, all-women team, Amanda is intentional about how she shows up. She draws on her deep experience as a former volunteer, but she’s careful not to overplay her strength of Adherence or unintentionally impose structure without buy-in.

That’s why her approach to systems and strategy is rooted in collaboration. Amanda knows that the best processes don’t just solve problems, they reflect the values and voices of the people who use them. For her, Adherence isn’t about rigidity. It’s about building something clear, dependable, and inclusive, so everyone feels supported from the start.

“When someone on my team saw Adherence as my top strength and said, ‘This is so you,’ it made me feel seen. Structure gives me confidence, and I want to create that same clarity for everyone around me.”
