Connector

Question: Can I make a connection today between two people who would benefit from knowing one another?

My Story:

Gina is always thinking about who — or what — might help someone take the next step forward. She has a gift for connecting people to each other and to the ideas, resources, or inspiration they didn’t know they needed. Whether it’s introducing two colleagues with shared goals or sending a friend the perfect podcast, article, or travel tip, she thrives on making meaningful links that spark momentum.

In large organizations, especially in virtual or hybrid environments, it’s easy for people to feel disconnected. Gina instinctively notices when someone is stuck or unsure and begins asking herself, "Who else should they know?” and "What conversation might move this forward?" She tunes into what people are saying (and what they’re not saying) and connects the dots.

She remembers recently introducing two neighbors who went on to become friends without needing her to maintain the connection. Their interests aligned, but more importantly, their values did. “It’s like combining two forces,” she says. “And watching what unfolds is deeply fulfilling.”

These moments may feel serendipitous to others, but Gina knows they often take intention and effort. Reaching out, especially to less familiar contacts, sometimes requires her to step outside her comfort zone. She’s found that courage is part of being a Connector. “We have to build that muscle,” she reflects. “Especially in big organizations where you can’t possibly know everyone. It matters.”

Gina also brings her creativity to the table, particularly when conversations open the door to new ideas. If someone is wrestling with a challenge, she’s often the first to suggest a perspective shift or offer a resource that feels tailor-made for the moment. Whether it’s a book that changed her thinking or a podcast episode that made her pause, she’s quick to share what’s helped her. And, she’s just as curious about what might help someone else.

For Gina, being a Connector is not about networking but about creating movement. She doesn’t just introduce people — she helps them see potential, find common ground, and feel supported. She connects with generosity and insight, always focused on what could grow from the right spark.

“I love helping people see what’s possible … and then connecting them to someone, or something, that brings that possibility to life.”
