This Week with Introspective
The definition of Adaptable from the Skills Discovery:
You love re-arranging resources and adapting plans to meet the changing demands of new situations.
You sense when to stay on track and when to change to become more effective.
Your adaptability means that you are always looking for the best possible fit for when the context changes.
Questions to help you bring this strength to life:
When did going with the flow lead to a better outcome than sticking to the plan?
Where in your life right now do you need to adapt?
How do you know when it's time to change direction?

Strength Story: Rita
The Strength of Adaptable
Rita spent sixteen years as a risk manager helping organizations adapt when things went wrong. When something doesn't go as planned, her first question isn't "why did this happen?" it's "what do we do now?" She's learned over time that not everyone is ready to move forward as quickly as she is, and that sometimes people need space before they're ready to adapt.
Her takeaway: Adaptability is about trusting that you can find your way forward, and choosing to learn from what happens rather than dwell on what can't be changed.
Fact of the Week
Psychological flexibility, or the ability to adapt our thoughts and behaviors as situations change, is one of the strongest predictors of mental well-being.
Research has found that people with higher psychological flexibility experience lower stress, greater resilience, and better overall life satisfaction.
