Improver
Sean rarely leaves things as they are.
As an Improver, he is naturally drawn to improving things. It’s a mindset he has had for as long as he can remember. Whether it’s a process, a conversation, or a piece of work, he finds himself asking how it could be more effective, more efficient, or more thoughtful.
This shows up across the different parts of his work. Whether he’s building a website, developing a newsletter, or providing VC support to start-up founders and investment-worthy companies, he doesn’t stop at the first solid version. He keeps refining, adjusting, and improving, always working toward a stronger outcome. Over time, he has learned to recognize when something is ready to move forward and shift his attention to other priorities.
His Improver strength also shows up in how he interacts with others.
Sean enjoys helping people raise their game, whether in their careers, fitness, relationships, or life more broadly. He asks questions, challenges their thinking, and encourages them to go a step further so they are producing their best work. Rather than feeling drained by this, he finds the process energizing. He is drawn to the possibility of what something, or someone, could become with a bit more attention and effort.
That instinct has shaped how others experience him. People come to Sean not just for answers, but for a sharper, more effective version of what they already have.
His advice is to stay curious and ask questions. What could be better? What might you be missing? Where could you push a little further? Improvement often starts with a willingness to challenge what’s already there.
For Sean, being an Improver is about continually raising the bar in ways that strengthen both his work and the people around him. He shared that his personal goal is simple: to get 1% better every day.
“I don’t see things as finished—I see how they could be improved.”
